Halloween Happs

The week of Halloween began with the Morley's famous party. As always, Kinsey stole the show with her elaborate costuming. Later in the week the boys enjoyed their first romp in the snow, followed by an evening of pumpkin carving. We love pumpkin guts! (except Asher- he can't get over the smell). On Halloween, the Fronce's joined us for dinner and trick-or-treating. As an added bonus, Kevin planned a donut eating contest in case the boys didn't get sick enough with just candy:) I'd have to say my favorite part of the evening was coming inside from sending off the trick-or-treaters to find Violet and Marley scarfing candy... Stinkerbell is more like it!

Violet's 1st Bday

I can hardly believe this little turkey is a year old. She is my happiest thought. As she proudly held up one finger and blew out her candle like a champ, I wanted to squeeze her. I love her so.

The Pumpkin Patch

We took our FOURTH annual trip to the pumpkin patch with the Johns family, if you can believe it. The husbands came this time:)

St. George

At the beginning of the month we enjoyed a quick getaway to warmer weather. It was nice! Upon our return, Kevin's youngest brother Dallin got married.

Sum Sum Summer Time....Is Over

Today is Labor Day. How unfortunate.

What I mean is, we have had a fabulous summer. Here are a few highlights:

homemade rockband

backyard campout

Fray concert

golf

the local beach

Lagoon

Kevin's bday

eating out

the farm

the zoo

and of course, LOADS of swimming

We ended it right with two weeks in Island Park, ID where we had the time of our lives.

CABIN 2009

And now its time for school!
We made it through the first week. Asher did great, like I knew he would. I was far more emotional the week prior to his starting first grade, as I desperately tried to make our final days together count for something. My recollection from the first day is that he came home loud. His favorite part is walking to school and lunch/recess. Hopefully he remembers the part about SCHOOL:)

Malcom is a champ. He loves his "winky" backpack (its a penguin) and playing with the fake food at school. Oh, and he looks like he's about 7 if you ask me.
