Who Is St. Patrick Anyway?

We wore green, had green milk in our Rice Krispies, and made green banana muffins. Actually, I think we made green banana muffins last year on St. Patrick's Day, so that would be the closest thing we have to a St. Patrick's Day tradition. As far as Asher is concerned, any excuse to use food coloring is good.

That is a good question. Growing up my mom always let us set a trap to try and catch a leprucahn (i have no idea how to spell that) and of course it would never work! We put together this huge trap and we would never catch him. All I know is I had to wear green that day and that we got treats from the leprucahn! I loved it!

At least you have a tradition - I need to start one. I don't even think Ben has ever heard of a leprachaun - better work on that for next year.

Cute pics! St. Patrick is the man who brought Christianity to Ireland through peaceful means (one of the only civilizations in the world where the acceptance of Christianity did not involve violence). Over the years St. Patricks Day has become a celebration of all things Irish, although some of the stalwart Irish Catholics still celebrate the conversion part. Hmm, I sound like a nerd. Your kids are cute though!
